Why I’m Running
I am running for Louisville Metro Council District 9 because local government should work—and too often, it does not.
City government has a clear responsibility to get the fundamentals right. People deserve to feel safe in their neighborhoods. Roads, sidewalks, and public services should be reliable. Zoning and development decisions should be fair, transparent, and predictable. And every tax dollar should be managed responsibly and with accountability. These are not partisan ideas. They are the baseline expectations of effective government.
Residents deserve transparency, discipline, and measurable results. While people may reasonably disagree on policy priorities, we should all agree that waste, favoritism, and poor management are unacceptable. I am running to bring practical oversight, clear-eyed decision-making, and fiscal responsibility to Metro Hall.
I also believe deeply in fairness and individual rights. Government decisions—especially those involving land use, taxation, and regulation—must be made through open processes, with equal treatment under the law and respect for civil liberties. This includes protecting reproductive freedom and bodily autonomy, as well as the civil rights of transgender individuals.
Louisville’s growth must be thoughtful, not reckless. I support job creation, small businesses, and local investment, but growth should strengthen neighborhoods rather than undermine them. Development should respect the character of our communities and be guided by long-term planning, not short-term expediency.
Finally, I believe a city is judged by how competently it cares for its people. A well-managed social safety net—supporting seniors, children, people with disabilities, housing stability, and emergency relief—matters, especially when programs are efficient, targeted, and accountable.
I am running to bring competence, accountability, and practical solutions back to local government—focused on safety, fiscal responsibility, fairness, and effective governance.
No matter who you are or where you come from, you deserve a voice in your city. If elected, I will bring that voice to Metro Hall.
